Subject: Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice
Call for Abstracts - Annual Linkage Awards

Deadline: May 4, 2001

On an annual basis, the Council on Linkages solicits abstracts from local and state public health agencies and other public health practice settings engaged in collaborative activities with academic institutions (universities, colleges, and schools of public health, nursing, and medicine).  This includes joint population-based activities in research, technical support, education, and training.   All abstracts must be jointly authored by the practice setting and the academic institution.  Cash prizes are awarded to the top three submissions (First place: $1,000; Second place: $500; Third place: $250), which are required to prepare a poster session for presentation at the annual meetings of ASTHO and/or NACCHO.
