An online companion resource to Healthy People 2010

Visit this new gateway to achieve and track the environmental health objectives in Healthy People 2010.  The site provides easy access to the national environmental health objectives, plus web links to help states and communities use the objectives for their Healthy People planning efforts and other environmental health improvement projects.  Compiled and hosted by the Public Health Foundation, with assistance from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, the National Center for Environmental Health, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, and the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. A more comprehensive site is planned for late 2001.

The MAPP web-based tool provides guidance, tools, references, and vignettes to assist communities in undertaking a community health improvement process.  A 24-page Field Guide is also available; click on the "Bookstore" section of the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) website for ordering information.  The tool was developed by NACCHO in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
