This broadcast will provide information to state and local health department personnel and other stakeholders on two strategies, isolation and quarantine, that are used to control Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).GOAL
To provide the public health community information and guidance on containment of SARS.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Describe key strategies for containing the spread of SARS
- Explain the current guidelines for instituting quarantine and/or isolation strategies
- Determine appropriate action steps needed to carry out SARS-related isolation or quarantine measures
- Determine appropriate support systems needed to carry out SARS-related isolation or quarantine measures
INTENDED AUDIENCES
Public health workforce, including state and local public health officials, public health advisors, community-based outreach workers, and infection control professionals.DETAILS

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION
Participants who register for and evaluate the satellite broadcast or webcast program through CDC/ATSDR by June 20, 2003 will be awarded a certificate of credit or a certificate of attendance.
