Subject: What should define a competent public health workforce?The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice is developing a list of core competencies that apply to all public health professionals. This list builds on more than 10 years of work in this area by many organizations. When final, the list of competencies will be used by training initiatives, degree programs, and other workforce development efforts to improve the skills and competence of the public health workforce.
