Subject: CDC Responds: Update on the State & Local Preparedness Grant ProgramThis live satellite broadcast, scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2002, 1:00-5:00 pm ET, will provide State Health Officers, State Epidemiologists, State Laboratory Directors, Public Health and Emergency Management Leaders, Bioterrorism Directors and Coordinators, and Local Public Health Leaders and Professionals with the latest information on grants management, administration, and operational structure pertaining to Cooperative Agreement 99051 and FY02 Supplemental Funding. The program will also update viewers on current events surrounding the relationship of CDC with the new Department of Homeland Security and specific Focus Area updates and observations of submitted workplans that identify strengths, challenges, exceptional programs in action, and recommended strategies for workplan development and implementation.
