Funding to Support Wisconsin’s State and Local Public Health System

Engaging and Sustaining Selected Community Stakeholders in the
Transformation of Wisconsin’s Public Health System (Wisconsin)
Supplemental report to the State Health Plan, Healthiest Wisconsin 2010: A
Partnership Plan to Improve the Health of the Public. Describes the
purpose, process, findings, and recommendations from five forums designed
to gain insights on health disparities and to build public health
relationships with African-American, Hispanic, Asian, American Indian, and
gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities. Offers broad
recommendations to Wisconsin’s public health system partners to assure
diverse and sustained partnerships for the future. Part III describes how
the Wisconsin Turning Point Initiative established these community
stakeholder forums, as well as the successes and missteps in the process.
