Ilya Plotkin is the Director of the TRAIN Learning Network at the Public Health Foundation. He leads health workforce capacity building programming, fostering collaboration and coordination across local, state, and federal government agencies. Ilya works closely with partners across the health, public health, and emergency preparedness sectors, including affiliates of the TRAIN Learning Network, academic institutions, and nonprofits. Ilya has worked at PHF on workforce development and public health preparedness efforts since 2007.
Ilya completed a B.A. in International Affairs & Psychology in 2007 and a M.A. in Security Policy Studies, both from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
In his free time, Ilya spends time with his wife and two children, traveling (when possible), and photography.
