John Foster currently serves as the Public Health Foundation’s Assistant Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, he assists the Chief Financial Officer with planning, operations, issuance of financial information, and risk management. Additionally, Mr. Foster is responsible for the controller and treasurer duties; overseeing the day to day accounting, business, and compliance needs of the organization; and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements, maintaining banking relationships and investing funds. He has served PHF since October 2003, joining PHF as an employee in November 2004.
Mr. Foster has over 20 years accounting and business experience in various industries, both for-profit and not-for-profit, primarily as a professional services consultant, focusing on accounting, compliance, tax, and payroll services.
Mr. Foster holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University (Pleasantville, New York), and is currently completing a Master of Science in Accounting and Financial Management at University of Maryland Global Campus.
