Sue Madden
Deputy Executive DirectorMs. Madden currently serves as Deputy Executive Director for the Public Health Foundation. In that capacity, she serves as chief operating officer, directing, administering, and coordinating all PHF activities in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the President and the Board of Directors. Ms. Madden also serves as the chief financial officer with oversight responsibility for all financial matters. She directs the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad organizational goals and growth objectives. Ms. Madden has served as Deputy Executive Director since February 1996.
Ms. Madden directs PHF's Learning Resource Center, which provides high-quality, affordable distance learning materials to public health professionals.
Ms. Madden's areas of expertise include administration; program development and management; survey and outputs design; data collection and analysis; data quality assurance; research and analysis; technical and special reports design and production; planning and convening advisory work groups; and liaison activity with state and local health departments.
Ms. Madden received her B.A. degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies) from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1971.
