The Task Force on Community Preventive Services (Task Force) is an independent, nonfederal, volunteer body of public health and prevention experts that meets three times per year. These two-day meetings of Task Force members and consultants, Liaison organization representatives and Community Guide staff are open to the public. 
 
The purpose of the Task Force Meeting are:
•Provide oversight on Community Guide reviews
•Carefully consider review results and their implications for public health practice and policy
•Make recommendations for interventions shown to promote population health
•Identify areas within the reviewed topics that need more research
