The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) will hold NACCHO 360
virtually on July 7-9, 2020. NACCHO 360 connects the traditional NACCHO Annual conference with PHIITS: Public Health Informatics, Information Technology, and Surveillance, a reimagined Public Health Informatics Conference. The theme for the conference, “Raising the Reach of Public Health,” will focus on breaking down silos to empower cross-pollination that moves the field forward. The conference will bring together local health department staff, partners, and funders to share the latest research, ideas, strategies, and innovations across public health focus areas.

- Description: This session will explore the experiences of two local health departments in Arizona in developing Academic Health Department (AHD) partnerships. This presentation will explore several strategies to engage in collaborations between academic institutions and local health departments and make the partnerships more effective and meaningful to all the organizations within this kind of partnership. Opportunities to explore resources to support local health departments in AHD efforts will be provided, along with practical tips and tools for creating and enhancing AHD partnerships.
