Performance Management Accreditation Preparation and Support

Overview

When seeking accreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB), many organizations are challenged to meet the requirements of Domain 9: Evaluate and Continuously Improve Processes, Programs, and Interventions. This includes Standard 9.1: Use a Performance Management System to Monitor Achievement of Organizational Objectives.

In practice, performance management means actively using data to improve performance, including the strategic use of performance standards, measures, progress reports, and ongoing quality improvement efforts to ensure an agency achieves desired results. With the right tools and resources, organizational integration of performance management and quality improvement is possible.
