Ron Bialek and Jack Moran presented on “The Dynamic Four-Step Strategic Planning Model” at the 18th Annual NALBOH Conference in Omaha, Nebraska in August 2010.  The session was interactive, designed to provide a unique opportunity for Board of Health members to explore in-depth dynamic strategic planning models and processes that can lead to real change and improved outcomes.  Successful approaches of the model were shared to help participants gain insights into the challenges and pitfalls that are encountered in doing a thorough strategic plan that is deployed throughout the organization to achieve desired results. Session facilitators used interactive questioning with participants, giving them the opportunity to rate the effectiveness of their current strategic planning process in planning, deploying, and reviewing their strategic plan.
