Feedback Needed! Help Shape the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals
 
Your help is needed to ensure the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) continue to reflect the reality of working in public health and meet the needs of the public health workforce. The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice is beginning the process of revising the Core Competencies and welcomes feedback from the broad public health community to inform the revisions. Join the Public Health Foundation’s virtual town hall meeting on December 16, 2020 at 1pm EST to share your thoughts. Questions and feedback are also welcome by email to competencies@phf.org.

Partnerships are a core strategy for enhancing capacity and meeting community health needs. Join the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice and the Public Health Founda​tion on December 8, 2020 from 1-2pm EST for a webinar exploring the growing partnership between the Pima County Health Department in Arizona and the University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and how it has played a vital role in COVID-19 response efforts. Open Forum for Quality Improvement and Innovation
December 1-3, 2020
Attending this year’s virtual Open Forum for Quality Improvement and Innovation? Mark your calendar for a town hall meeting to share your feedback on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals. This meeting will be held on December 2, 2020 from 1:40-2:40pm EST. In addition, a workshop focused on building performance improvement skills based on the Competencies for Performance Improvement Professionals in Public Health will occur on December 3, 2020 from 1:30-2:30pm EST.
