The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in partnership with the Public Health Foundation (PHF), invite distance learning professionals responsible for developing online training products to apply to participate in the E-Learning Institute. Commencing on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, this 15-week program will equip participants with innovative tools and teach promising practices focused on creating quality online training products. Participants will create an online training product based on both previous knowledge and the skills gained throughout the program, and present their product at a final showcase to the other participants. This is the second cohort of participants in the E-Learning Institute, following the success of eight participants in 2013.
E-Learning Institute participants will have access to a group of mentors/coaches from CDC and/or its consultants. Through the E-Learning Institute, learning relationships between professionals with well-developed skills and extensive backgrounds in online training and applicants who are eager to build skills in those knowledge areas will be formed. Mentors and participants will be able to meet virtually throughout the program to facilitate the creation of the online training product. After participating in the E-Learning Institute, it is expected that participants will be better equipped with the tools and knowledge to create high-quality training that could be utilized both nationally and locally.
Applications will be accepted for two weeks, through Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Selected applicants will be notified by Friday, January 31, 2014. Space is limited, so apply today to be considered for this learning opportunity. If you have questions, please contact the PHF TRAIN team at email@example.com.
