Learners can now access the new TRAIN Learning Network platform to find quality courses on more than 60 health-related topics at www.train.org. Built with extensive input and feedback from the health workforce, the new platform features a user-friendly design and intuitive functionality.

"Since its initial launch in 2003, the TRAIN Learning Network has grown to become an indispensable tool for training over 1.3 million professionals in the health workforce,” said Ron Bialek, PHF President. “The Public Health Foundation is thrilled to launch our new TRAIN platform that will continue to prepare the workforce to improve the health of our communities today and into the future.”

New features include:

  • Clean, modern homepage layout
  • Simplified account creation
  • Improved advanced course search
  • Streamlined learning records
  • Responsive design, meaning learners will be able to access TRAIN on most devices
  • Tutorials and job aids to navigate the new platform

In addition to national TRAIN, the new CDC TRAIN site at www.train.org/cdctrain/ is now available to learners who have joined Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) groups on TRAIN. The other 28 TRAIN affiliates will be moving their sites to the new platform throughout the year.

Powered by the Public Health Foundation (PHF), the TRAIN Learning Network brings together agencies and organizations in public health, healthcare, and preparedness to disseminate, track, and share trainings for the health workforce on one national online learning management system (LMS) as TRAIN affiliates and course providers.

The launch of these new learner features on the national TRAIN and CDC TRAIN sites represents the first phase of the new TRAIN Learning Network platform. Additional functionality will be available during the coming months.
