Get Ready for National Preparedness Month
$306 billion! I t remains difficult to forget last year’s record-breaking cost of disasters in the United States, 1 and there have been 70 disaster declarations so far in 2018. With National Preparedness Month upon us, it is time for the nation to take preparedness more seriously.

We cannot forget that effective preparedness and recovery takes a whole community approach. After all, neighbors helping neighbors is how we return to normal. We encourage you, your families, and your communities, to take dedicated time this September to explore the available preparedness and response training opportunities on the TRAIN Learning Network.

Learn more about hurricanes , wildfires , flooding , or extreme heat and be ready to help your community when the time comes.
