Public Health Training Impact

Overview

The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) has long recognized the importance of high-quality continuing education. To support the ongoing training of public health professionals, the Council on Linkages is working to identify methods and tools to improve and measure the impact of training.

The Public Health Training Impact initiative will produce:

  • A document containing strategies and resources to assist public health professionals and organizations in improving and measuring the impact of training
  • A literature search and selective review related to training methods and tools
The current draft document of strategies and resources for Improving and Measuring the Impact of Training is available online for review and comment.

Final products are expected by fall 2012.

The Training Impact Task Force, which has expertise in training and evaluation, provides guidance for this initiative.
