Overview

Since 1992, the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) has been providing leaders in the academic and practice communities with the opportunity to come together to discuss critical issues and advance innovative initiatives to strengthen the US public health system.

Past accomplishments of the Council on Linkages include:

Developing public health practice guidelines that helped spur on the development of the Guide to Community Preventive Services by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Fostering academic/practice linkages
Promoting Public Health Systems Research
