Winnable Battles Fact Sheet

Overview

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Winnable Battles are public health priorities with large-scale impact on health and with known, effective strategies to address them. Each area is a leading cause of illness, injury, disability, or death, and/or represents enormous societal costs. Evidence-based, scalable interventions such as those recommended in The Guide to Community Preventive Services (The Community Guide) already exist and can be broadly implemented to fight many of these priority areas.

Use the Winnable Battles fact sheet as a handout for presentations or as a stand-alone piece for exhibits, webinars, meetings, and conferences. The fact sheet lists the Winnable Battles focus areas and broad goals for each.
