​The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) convened for a virtual meeting on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2-4pm EST. This meeting provided updates on Council on Linkages initiatives, such as the proposed development of a new Retention and Recruitment Learning Community, updates about the Academic Health Department Learning Community, and insights into the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies). Additionally, attendees learned from our guest presenters who discussed how their health departments utilize the Core Competencies to strengthen the workforce.
