The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) held a virtual meeting on Monday, July 16, 2018. This meeting included updates on activities related to the Academic Health Department Learning Community and the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals. In addition, Ron Bialek, MPP, Council on Linkages Director, led a discussion about the Council on Linkages' impact, current initiatives, and future opportunities; the newly released Competencies for Performance Improvement Professionals in Public Health were presented; and the Quad Council Coalition of Public Health Nursing Organizations' revised Community/Public Health Nursing Competencies were shared.
