A virtual town hall meeting on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) will be held by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and the Public Health Foundation on December 3, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm EST. The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) is in the process of reviewing and revising the Core Competencies, and this meeting is an opportunity for public health professionals in local health departments to provide feedback on how the Core Competencies can better serve the public health workforce. During the meeting, an overview of the Core Competencies will be provided, the review and revision process will be discussed, and attendees will have a chance to share their thoughts on the Core Competencies with fellow public health professionals and the Council on Linkages. Come join your colleagues in discussing how the Core Competencies can be improved to address changing needs of public health professionals and organizations. If you are working in a local health department and wish to participate in this virtual town hall meeting, please click here to register for the meeting.
