The Public Health Foundation (PHF) is presenting a workshop, Developing and Implementing a Successful Workforce Development Plan, at the National Association of City and County Health Officials (NACCHO) Annual Meeting on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, CA.
The workshop will focus on developing and implementing a workforce development plan, a requirement for Domain 8 of Public Health Accreditation. Ron Bialek, PHF President, and Jack Moran, PHF Senior Quality Advisor, will help participants understand key elements and activities of a workforce development plan, the purpose of these activities, and resources that are available to accomplish these activities. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn about quality improvement tools that can be used to help a health department identify and address priority Core Competencies.
PHF's Margie Beaudry and Joan H. Ellison, Public Health Director at Livingston County Department of Health, will share how these quality improvement tools have been used by a local health department to assist in the development and implementation of their workforce development plan.
PHF will also sponsor workforce development and quality improvement workshops at the upcoming National Association of Local Boards of Health (NALBOH) Annual Meeting and the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting.
