Contact Tracing Dashboard: Building Community-Based COVID-19 Contact Tracing

Overview

Contact tracing remains an important tool to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The Public Health Foundation and Mathematica teamed up to develop an interactive dashboard that enables states and counties to compare the demographics of contact tracers trained through the TRAIN Learning Network to the jurisdiction’s demographic characteristics.

Establishing trust of contact tracers within a community is key to effective contact tracing and case investigation. Evidence suggests that contact tracers can more effectively gain that trust when they share similar backgrounds with the people they are contacting. The contact tracing dashboard is designed to help states, counties, and others develop strategies to better understand their communities’ contact tracing needs and take action to address those needs.

Learn more about the contact tracing dashboard and its potential uses through the blog post, Insights for Building a Community-Based Contact Tracing Workforce. For more information, please contact Ilya Plotkin at iplotkin@phf.org.
