Introducing the 2021 Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Archived Webinar)

Overview

The Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) describe crosscutting or foundational knowledge and skills for all public health professionals. This consensus set of competencies developed by the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) was recently revised to ensure these competencies keep pace with the changing realities of public health and continue to meet the needs of public health professionals and organizations.


This archived webinar introduces the newly revised Core Competencies, exploring how the Core Competencies are being used by public health organizations for workforce development, changes in the 2021 version of the Core Competencies and how these changes address feedback from the public health community, and resources and tools that can facilitate use of the Core Competencies.
