Last Call for Feedback on Draft Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals

Haven’t yet had a chance to share your thoughts on the draft Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies)? As the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice revises the Core Competencies, your feedback will help ensure this set of foundational competencies continues to reflect the reality of working in public health and meet the needs of the public health workforce.

A preliminary draft of proposed revisions to the Core Competencies is available for open comment through August 15, 2021. This draft aims to address feedback from the public health and population health community related to the concepts included in the Core Competencies, as well as to offer proposed changes to the structure of the competency set to make the Core Competencies easier to use.

Share your thoughts on this draft by email to competencies@phf.org, submit your feedback online, or join this week’s virtual town hall meeting:

Feedback and questions may also be sent to Kathleen Amos at kamos@phf.org.
Questions and comments may be emailed to Kathleen Amos at kamos@phf.org.
